I am living in New York. I actually went to high school with Brandon Stanton, the creator of Humans of New York. He graduated about 5 or 6 years before I did so we never really knew each other, but he did come to our school to speak and he talked about how he started the blog.
He said his journey was about wanted to learn more about people’s stories no matter where they are from or where they are traveling and so it started as New York and his neighborhood and then just has expanded to a more of a movement now and it was really inspiring. He said he just really had an interest in photography and an interest in people and kind of ran with it from there. Super nice guy
He kind of made a whole movement over, like encouraging people to be more kind to each other and learning more about what it under the surface and so yeah he’s super cool.
